This updated Policy more clearly explains how we use the information gathered. Our core commitment regarding your privacy hasn't changed, including the commitment to never sell your data or pass it on to third parties.

HOW THIS POLICY APPLIES

This Policy describes the information we collect from you, how we use it and our legal basis for doing so.

By using the Services offered by Reshad's Reiki Therapy, you are acknowledging you have agreed to our Terms of Use and that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

WHAT WE COLLECT AND RECEIVE

In order for you to use our Services, we need to collect and process certain information before we start. That may include:

Information you provide by completing (in part) forms on Reshad's Reiki Therapy - your name, date of birth, email and postal address, telephone number, GP name and address, past and present health status and medication. We ask for this information in order to assess whether (as a user of our Services) our treatment can be administered.

You may decline to provide us with your information. However, this is likely to make treatment impossible due to a lack of contact information and past/present health history.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

To keep your account secure and protect our Services (including to verify the identities of the clients and prevent identity fraud and abuse);

To enable us to provide you with our Services, and to improve and promote our Services;

To create your account, contact you, and customize your experience on Reshad's Reiki Therapy; and

To monitor the use of our Services so that we can see (and possibly improve) how Reshad's Reiki Therapy is performing and provide clients with the best experience possible.

Performing the contract we have with you: In certain circumstances, we need your personal data to comply with our contractual obligation to deliver the Services, (i.e. medical history notes, in particular past and present medication).

Quite simply - it isn't! Any information you provide stays on file at Reshad's Reiki Therapy for staff use only. However, we do reserve the right to disclose personal information when we believe that doing so is reasonably necessary to comply with the law or law enforcement, to prevent account fraud or abuse, or to protect Reshad's Reiki Therapy's legal rights, property, or the safety of Reshad's Reiki Therapy, its staff, clients, or others.

RETENTION

We will retain your information as long as your account is active, as necessary to provide you with the Services or as otherwise set forth in this Policy. We will also retain and use this information as necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy and to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements and protect Reshad's Reiki Therapy's legal rights.

YOUR RIGHTS

Clients from the European Union are afforded certain rights regarding their personal information. Except where an exception or exemption applies, these rights include the ability to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal information. While these rights are not applicable globally, all Reshad's Reiki Therapy clients can manage their personal information by visiting the business and requesting in person.

SECURITY

We take security seriously, and the security of your personal data is important to us. We feel compelled to point out that no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so Reshad's Reiki Therapy cannot guarantee its absolute security. To reduce any likelihood of vulnerability within our system, all gathered information is printed and stored.

DATA PROTECTION AUTHORITY

Subject to applicable law, if you are a visiting citizen of the European Economic Area, you also have the right to (i) object to Reshad's Reiki Therapy use of your personal information and (ii) lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority or the United Kingdom Information Commissioner's Office should your information be stored or used after you have asked for it to be removed from our system.

CHILDREN

People under the age of 18 are not permitted to use Reshad's Reiki Therapy Services on their own. Reshad's Reiki Therapy does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13 and children under 13 are not permitted to provide us with personal information or use our Services.

If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at reshadsreikitherapy@hotmail.com. If we become aware that a child under the age of 13 has provided us with personally identifiable information, we will delete it.
